NetSuite Launches AI Connector Service for Integration with External AI Systems

Oracle NetSuite launches the AI Connector Service to securely and flexibly connect external AI models to its ERP platform.

Oracle NetSuite introduces the AI Connector Service. This is a protocol-driven integration service that enables secure connection of external AI models with NetSuite ERP. The solution supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP): a standard for structured communication between AI agents and other systems. Oracle previously invested in AI for Netsuite.

With the AI Connector Service, developers can determine which data and functions an AI system may use, including role-based access rights. The service supports multiple AI assistants and platforms, allowing organizations to deploy their own AI models within NetSuite.

According to Oracle NetSuite, the new service enables complex AI-ERP integrations to be translated into modular, reusable SuiteApps. This aligns the solution with NetSuite’s existing extension model and reduces the need for unofficial integrations. Partners and software vendors can develop, package, and sell AI-driven SuiteApps.

Third-party Integrations

The integration with MCP opens the door to third-party AI agent platforms. This allows NetSuite as an ERP suite to support agent-based automation across different systems.

The protocol-based design gives customers the freedom to choose AI models and platforms that fit their own strategy. This approach ensures that companies can quickly respond to technological changes. Oracle embraces AI without being tied to a specific model or vendor.

With the AI Connector Service, Oracle NetSuite aims to lay the foundation for ERP systems that not only automate processes but also collaborate with AI to perform actions and support business decisions.
