Oracle is fully committed to AI in the new version of NetSuite.
Oracle has announced an update to its cloud platform NetSuite, writes SiliconANGLE. The new version, NetSuite Next, integrates AI at every level: from an AI assistant to autonomous workflows and natural language queries.
New Interface and Built-In AI Assistant
NetSuite Next features a completely revamped user experience based on the Redwood Design System, consistently applied in Oracle software. Central to this is Ask Oracle, an AI assistant that not only answers questions but also functions as a navigation and analysis tool.
“It’s not just a chatbot; it helps you navigate the entire application and dataset,” says Craig Sullivan, VP of Product Management at NetSuite. The assistant also provides explanations and reasoning behind its answers, so users understand how conclusions are reached.
Smarter Analyses and AI Agents
A second innovation is the narrative insights, where figures are translated into understandable summaries and recommendations. Additionally, Oracle introduces the AI Canvas, a collaborative space where teams can explore scenarios using AI. New AI agents also automate tasks. According to Oracle, with “Autonomous Close,” companies can complete their financial closings in just a few days.
SuiteCloud and AI Integrations
Through the revamped SuiteCloud platform, developers can link their own AI models or build agents using the new SuiteAgent frameworks. The AI Connector Service uses open standards like the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to securely connect external models with NetSuite data.
For SaaS companies, Oracle launches NetSuite Subscription Metrics, providing CFOs and CROs with real-time insights into revenue, retention, and growth. The dashboard includes AI-generated reports and visualizations. This feature is now available to NetSuite customers at no additional cost. More AI features will follow in the next 12 months.
