Microsoft Copilot’s New Action Function Can Use the Internet on Your Behalf
Microsoft celebrates its 50th birthday with some new features for its AI-powered Copilot chatbot. According to the company, Copilot can now perform actions on ‘most websites’ while you work on other tasks in the background. For example, Copilot is able to surf the web for you and perform actions such as booking a restaurant table, concert tickets, or a taxi.
Performing Actions
Microsoft Copilot is gaining new skills. From now on, the chatbot is able to perform actions on the internet on your behalf. This can be done using ‘simple chat prompts’. Copilot can now help you with tasks such as planning trips, booking tickets, or reserving restaurant tables. Some partners collaborating on this include Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Open Table for meals, and taxi companies are also said to support this service.
Personal Copilot
Additionally, Microsoft wants to make your AI companion even more personal. ‘Eventually, there will be as many Copilots as there are people,’ the company describes. That might sound a bit scary, but as a user, you can still indicate your preferences.
