During its annual user conference, Jamf announced new features for managing and securing Apple devices.
Jamf is a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform for Apple devices. At the Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC) 2025, the company presented a platform API ecosystem designed to give developers, IT, and security teams more capabilities to automate their own workflows and simplify platform integration.
Improving APIs
According to Jamf, the platform APIs provide a unified approach for developing applications within its own platform. Developers gain access to predictable interfaces, IT teams can implement more complex automations, and technology partners can develop broader integrations. The APIs are designed to flexibly adapt to organizations’ existing IT environments.
AI Support
Additionally, Jamf is expanding its AI assistant with a Security Skill in Jamf Protect. This feature analyzes telemetry data, correlates security events, and provides concrete instructions to security teams. It also transforms information from models such as MITRE ATT&CK and CVE databases into practical insights. The new tool aims to contribute to reducing unnecessary alerts and improving focus within security teams.

In terms of device management, Jamf is adding new capabilities to its Blueprints solution. Through support for Declarative Device Management, IT teams can now configure automatic software updates based on preset policies. This allows Apple devices to manage OS updates themselves, without the need for scripts or manual actions. Organizations still maintain control over aspects such as deferral periods and access to beta versions.

Finally, Platform Single Sign-On (SSO) on Mac is supported. This is achieved through synchronization between local passwords and cloud identity providers. This functionality will later be extended to native and web applications, with the goal of providing a more streamlined login experience, even before users reach their desktop.
