Soon you will probably be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously on two side-by-side windows in one tab.
The more workspace, the better. Google must have thought the same when it tested out this now-hidden feature in its browser.
Split view
The feature was noticed by a browser reviewer, Windows Latest knows. According to that reviewer, the feature is still under development and not yet usable in the latest version of Chrome. Once the feature is available, it appears users will be able to split a tab and two halves by right-clicking on it and selecting the option Split tab with active tab select.
In Microsoft Edge, that feature can already be used under the name “Split Screen.” It can be turned on in the settings, or by right-clicking on a tab and selecting Open in sidebar select.
Of course, Google keeps adding new updates to its browser. For example, last year we got more control over memory saving and the browser was provided with Gemini writing assistance. At this time, it is not known when the split tabs will appear in Google Chrome.
