OpenAI is making its ChatGPT Search even more widely accessible by dropping its login requirement.
You will no longer have to log in to use ChatGPT’s search engine, the company announced in a post on X. ChatGPT Search will from now on be accessible to everyone via chatgpt.com.

In October 2024, OpenAI’s search engine was rolled out to paying users. Since late December, SearchGPT has also been available to free users.
