Boomi Expands AI Automation with Agentstudio and New Agents

Boomi AI studio

Boomi launches new AI agents, integrates Data Integration, and supports MCP for smarter automation within one platform.

Boomi introduces a series of new features at Boomi World 2025. The announcements include the official launch of Boomi Agentstudio, new AI agents, support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and the integration of Boomi Data Integration into the Boomi platform.

Agentstudio

Boomi Agentstudio is now generally available. Boomi previously marketed the tool as Boomi AI Studio. Agentstudio does what the name suggests, allowing organizations to design, manage, and deploy AI agents in a secure, no-code environment.

The solution supports the lifecycle management of AI agents and integrates with Amazon Q Business. Through Agentstudio, developers can integrate registered agents into Boomi’s Process Canvas. There is also support for Amazon Bedrock and central registration of agents.

Simultaneously, Boomi introduces four new AI agents. These help, among other things, with automating API design, documentation, integration assessments, and data connections. For example, there’s a Data Connector Agent that links REST data sources without external intervention. All agents are included in the Boomi Enterprise Platform and ready for immediate deployment.

MCP and Rivery

Boomi now supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This open protocol allows AI agents to perform tasks by providing access to necessary tools and information. Through Boomi API Management, APIs are automatically made available as MCP endpoints. There’s also a new MCP gateway that makes tools easier to find and combine. According to Boomi, security and governance remain assured.

Finally, Boomi announces that the previously acquired Rivery is now part of the Boomi platform under the name Boomi Data Integration. The solution offers end-to-end data pipelines, support for change data capture, built-in data connectors, and a modern user interface. This allows organizations to collect, transform, and deploy data more quickly and efficiently for AI applications and analyses.

Like many other companies, Boomi is focusing on AI and agents. Oracle recently launched an AI Agent Studio, Zoom expanded its AI-Companion with agent functionality, and ServiceNow put AI agents to work. Salesforce has been aiming to lead agent-based AI with Agentforce since last year. Every enterprise that supports companies with a software solution is now trying to incorporate agent-based AI capabilities to boost productivity, and Boomi is no different. The company didn’t change the name from AI Studio to Agentstudio for nothing.
