Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability of AWS App Studio.
AWS App Studio, according to SiliconANGLE, is a tool that allows users to create enterprise applications simply by describing in natural language what they want to build.
App development facilitated
Creating applications does not require programming knowledge. The tool, according to AWS itself, is designed to let employees develop internal software tools faster, such as apps for managing marketing materials or tracking IT ticket requests.
Users can enter a brief description of their desired app. Then App Studio generates a list of features and interface suggestions. Once approved, the app would be built automatically and the interface can be easily customized with drag-and-drop tools. It would also be possible to integrate the app with external services, such as Salesforce, and test the app before it goes into production.
AWS has additionally added other capabilities. For example, users can make existing apps more intelligent by using natural language to add generative AI functionalities such as text summarization and content generation. App Studio is free to use, and customers pay only for the time employees spend on apps. New customers can use their apps for free for the first 60 days.
