Adobe’s popular video editing app Premiere is coming to iOS later this month.

Adobe states in an announcement that it’s making its video editing app Premiere available for free on iOS. This is unusual for Adobe, as normally you pay a hefty price or are required to subscribe to use Adobe apps.

Similar to Desktop App

The app has the same timeline and basic functionalities as the desktop application. Users can split video material on the timeline, scroll through the video in individual frames, and add unlimited video, text, and audio layers. Premiere supports exporting 4K HDR footage without a watermark. There are also no ads in the free version of the app.

Users can pay to use AI features, such as voice enhancement or Adobe Firefly’s AI suite. With this, you can generate images or sounds that can be used commercially. Extra cloud storage also comes with a price tag, although European prices have not yet been announced.

Not yet for Android

In addition to Premiere, the Firefly and Photoshop app are available for iOS and Android. Premiere will be available for download on iOS on September 30, while the Android version is still in development. Furthermore, Adobe confirms that the simplified and free application Premiere Rush is being discontinued.
