Nexova Opens New Expertise Center for Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructures

Nexova has opened a new expertise center in Transinne that is entirely dedicated to the cybersecurity of critical infrastructures. The center aims to contribute to the digital resilience of Belgium and Europe.

Today, Nexova cut the red ribbon of the new expertise center in the Walloon municipality of Transinne in the presence of press and politicians. The center covers 3,300 m² and is equipped with technologies aimed at protecting essential systems against digital threats.

New Complex for Training, Detection, and Research

The building houses, among other things, an advanced cyber range, a security operations center (SOC), highly secure data centers, and a technological laboratory.

The cyber range can simulate realistic crisis scenarios to train clients’ employees in a controlled environment. The SOC detects and monitors cyber threats 24/7, while the techno-lab focuses on research into connectivity solutions that are resistant to threats such as quantum computers and electronic warfare.

Nexova also strongly focuses on training and simulation. For example, scenarios such as the sabotage of an industrial network or a cyberattack on a space facility are simulated. With this, the company aims to address human errors, often still a weak link in security, through targeted training of both technical teams and management.

Contribution to European Cyber Sovereignty

With the new site, Nexova aims to contribute to Europe’s digital resilience. From locations in Transinne, Wavre, and Diegem, the company develops solutions for clients in the public and private sectors, including institutions within the EU and NATO. The focus is on systems that are vital to society and the economy, such as energy supply, transport networks, and telecommunications.

The building was designed by ASSAR, which was also responsible for NATO headquarters. The Walloon government financially supported the project. The total investment amounts to approximately 20 million euros.

Nexova expects that by 2026, about a hundred experts will be active at the site in Transinne. With this, the company also aims to contribute to the development of the local economy in the province of Luxembourg.
