A new Captcha asks you not to recognize traffic lights or buses, but to kill three enemies in Doom. With that, the old game reappears in an unexpected place.
Guillermo Ranch, CEO of Vercel, has developed a new Captcha. With it, you don’t have to click on obscure prayer cards ad nauseam, but may instead bring out your gaming skills. After all, the captcha incorporates a life from the game Doom. You start with 50 bullets and your full health, and must kill three enemies. If you succeed, you have proven that you are not a robot.
Difficult
The Captcha contains the effective game, although you start in the same place every time. Those who are not so proficient can use cheat codes like IDKFA for more bullets and protection. Youth with lots of shooter experience are just biased here. This version of Doom works as usual, allowing you to use only the arrow and space bar to navigate and shoot.
Whether the Captcha can effectively keep robots away is doubtful. After all, AI today can play games as well or better than humans. Simple bots will presumably be able to keep you off a Web page with the Captcha, though presumably at the expense of a very large bevy of human visitors who can’t force a passage either. You can check out the Captcha here.
