Several government websites have been affected by a Russian cyberattack.
The Russian hacker collective NoName has attempted to take several major Belgian government websites offline. These include MyGov.be, the platform of the Walloon Parliament, and the website of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
CCB Monitoring the Situation
The collective is reportedly taking action because Belgium has offered 1 billion euros to Ukraine, according to VRT. The Center for Cybersecurity (CCB) is aware and is closely monitoring the situation. The targeted organizations have been alerted.

The hackers are carrying out DDoS attacks, overloading the servers to temporarily take the websites offline. This is not the first time Belgium has faced Russian cyberattacks: last year, websites of both ports and cities and municipalities were targeted. The National Crisis Center recently identified cyberattacks as the most realistic threat to our country.
