The collaboration between Check Point and Wiz focuses on reducing security gaps between cloud networks and application protection. Security teams often work in silos, leading to inefficiencies and risks due to lack of context about threats. By integrating the two companies’ technologies, organizations gain a better understanding of their security posture and can determine risks more effectively.

The partnership manifests itself in the following ways:

  • Real-time insights: Check Point’s network security is integrated into Wiz’s CNAPP platform, giving teams instant access to real-time network insights.
  • Enhanced risk context: Wiz’s risk analysis is linked to the Check Point platform, allowing security teams to make more informed decisions.
  • Prioritization of unsecured assets: By bringing network data and cloud security together, organizations can identify and secure vulnerable systems faster.
  • Optimized security operations: The collaboration helps companies operate more efficiently through automated recommendations for security improvements.

Network first

Within the partnership, both companies are supporting the migration of Check Point customers to Wiz’s platform. Check Point continues to invest in cloud security, with a focus on network protection, web application firewalls and generative AI applications. “Without a secure network, you can’t secure the rest,” reads the vision of newly minted Check Point CEO Nadav Zafrir.

The company believes in a hybrid SASE approach, where companies place the center of gravity of their security in the cloud but keep it in the edge and on device where necessary. Check Point detailed its strategy at the CPX conference in Vienna. With this partnership, Check Point and Wiz aim to help companies address the growing challenges around hybrid cloud security. By integrating network and cloud security, they expect to create a more efficient and auditable security environment.
