Barracuda Networks has added a digital assistant to its cybersecurity platform BarracudaONE to help security teams respond to threats faster and more efficiently.
AI assistants are also trending in the security industry. Barracuda announces the integration of its own AI security assistant into its cybersecurity platform. Barracuda Assistant will be added to the BarracudaONE platform.
The tool is designed to reduce the workload of security teams by enabling them to respond to threats more quickly. According to Barracuda, users of any knowledge level can use the assistant to analyze and resolve complex security incidents.
Real-time Assistance
The assistant provides insights about configurations and implementations, and makes recommendations based on real-time data. The information comes from Barracuda’s own threat intelligence network. This enables organizations to better align their security strategies with current threat patterns and attack techniques.
By automating manual steps and avoiding context switching, the assistant helps reduce errors and shorten response times. This would allow security teams to spend more time on strategic tasks.
Availability across Multiple Platforms
Barracuda Assistant is immediately available within the BarracudaONE platform. Users can manage not only their threat response but also other aspects such as licenses, accounts, and solutions. The assistant will soon be integrated into Barracuda XDR, Barracuda SecureEdge, and the support portal.
According to market research by Omdia, AI assistants can contribute to more effective and efficient security operations. They would particularly offer advantages in threat detection, incident analysis, and the application of threat intelligence. On the other hand, cybercriminals are also eagerly using AI tools to increase the scale and speed of attacks.
