Proximus and Orange stamped out a joint venture called MWingz in 2019. This is to develop the mobile access network of the future by sharing the active and passive installations of the radio access network (RAN). The ultimate goal is to operate a common network.
The new partnership includes the delivery of Comarch modules such as network inventory management, network planning and design (framework), automatic network detection and tuning as well as configuration management.
The solutions are delivered in a SaaS model and provide one complete view of the shared network infrastructure, capital expenditures and other operational costs.
End users can expect better coverage, higher quality services and easier access to new services as a result of the collaboration thanks to the rapid 5G deployment.
