Amazon launches nova.amazon.com for developers to test Nova’s AI models. Access currently remains limited to users in the United States.
Amazon is making its generative AI models under the name Amazon Nova more accessible through a new platform: nova.amazon.com. Developers and technology users can experiment with various foundation models there, including Nova Micro, Lite, and Pro for text generation, and Nova Canvas and Reel for image and video generation. Amazon is also making an early test version of the Nova Act SDK available, allowing developers to build AI agents that perform tasks in a web browser.
Access to the platform is currently limited to users in the United States. European users or other international developers cannot currently try or use Nova through the new website.
AI Agents in the Browser
Nova Act is a new model within the Nova series, specifically trained to perform actions in a browser environment. With the SDK, developers can automate workflows by giving simple commands such as ‘search’, ‘pay’, or ‘answer a question on the screen’. The SDK also supports more complex commands, such as skipping certain offers or calling APIs.

According to Amazon, this is a first step towards developing reliable AI agents that can independently perform digital tasks. The functionality strongly resembles RPA, but underpinned by generative AI.
Amazon Nova’s foundation models were announced at AWS re:Invent in late 2024. They have recently been integrated into Amazon Bedrock: the platform on which Amazon offers multiple AI models. Through nova.amazon.com, Amazon primarily wants to give developers and tech enthusiasts the opportunity to explore Nova’s capabilities on a small scale before integrating the models into production environments via Bedrock.
When Amazon Nova will become available outside the United States has not yet been announced.
