Rubrik aims to increase the acceptance of AI agents in businesses with Predibase’s technology.
Data cybersecurity company Rubrik announces that it is acquiring the American AI company Predibase. Predibase is a start-up that helps companies train and refine open-source AI models with their own data. With this technology, Rubrik wants to stimulate the use and building of AI agents via Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, and Google Agentspace.
“Promising Combination”
“When Predibase’s capabilities are combined with secure data platforms like Rubrik’s, they can enable responsible and impactful AI,” reads the announcement. “Predibase solves the performance and cost issues around deploying LLMs for agent-based applications.”
The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. The completion of the transaction is still subject to customary conditions.
AI agents are on the rise. Many companies, such as Lenovo, Databricks, Snowflake and Salesforce are fully investing in the technology. For example, Workday also developed its own AI toolset. According to Gartner, agentive AI will make business decisions by 2027, so undoubtedly many more companies will follow.
