MSI is revamping its portfolio of business laptops inside and out. The integration of the newly announced Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor is the main asset.
At CES 2026, MSI introduced new business laptops within the Prestige and Modern families. The devices feature new enclosures, new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and, in certain models, high-resolution OLED screens.
MSI is tweaking the design of the Prestige and Modern devices, so that they will also look new on the outside. However, the main innovation is under the hood, with the integration of Intel’s Panther Lake processors. These chips are built for the first time on Intel’s 18A node and promise to efficiently manage the available battery capacity.
Prestige: X for graphics
The new Prestige 14 AI+ and 16 AI+ models are equipped with Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processors. These ‘X’-marked chips from Intel all have a relatively powerful graphics chiplet on board in the form of an Intel Arc B390 GPU.

The Prestige 14 is further configurable with up to 64 GB LPDDR5x RAM. The device features a 14-inch FHD+ OLED screen and weighs 1.32 kg. The 16-inch variant has a 2.8K OLED certification and weighs 1.59 kg.

The Flip variants of both models are 2-in-1 devices with touchscreen and MSI Nano Pen support. The Prestige 14 Flip AI+ has similar specifications to the clamshell model and weighs 1.37 kg. The Prestige 16 Flip AI+ offers the same screen options as its clamshell counterpart and weighs 1.66 kg.
All models feature an 81 Wh battery, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, an IR webcam with facial recognition and the new Action Touchpad.
Lightweight
The Prestige 13 AI+ stands out in the new line-up because of its low weight. According to MSI, the 13-inch device weighs only 899 grams. The compact chassis has room for a 2.8K OLED screen, up to 64 GB LPDDR5x RAM, and Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor.
A device with such specifications attracts attention. Tests will show whether the low weight is an added value. After all, the battery capacity is therefore limited to 53 Wh. In combination with the high-resolution panel, that is a risk in terms of autonomy.
Modern
The Modern 14S and 16S have also been upgraded with a new design, including metal finish and rounded corners. Both models run on Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processors, offer up to 32 GB DDR5 RAM via two memory modules and feature a 60 Wh battery.

The Modern 14S has 14-inch FHD+ OLED or IPS screen options and weighs 1.5 kg. The Modern 16S comes with a 16-inch screen with the same resolution and technology choice, and weighs 1.7 kg. Both models have Wi-Fi 6E, USB-C with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet and a microSD card reader on board.
Availability
MSI plans to launch the devices with the new chips on the market soon. Sales of the Prestige series should effectively start by January 27. We do not yet know concrete prices of all models and we also have to wait for details on the availability of the Modern models. Although AMD has also just launched new chips, MSI is not currently announcing any new Prestige or Modern devices with new chips from that manufacturer.
