Lenovo is refreshing its ThinkPad T series. The 2026 models offer improved repairability, feature the latest CPUs, and come with an optional 5MP camera with computer vision.
At MWC 2026, Lenovo is introducing the latest versions of its ThinkPad T series, building on previous innovations in the ThinkPad range with advanced processor solutions. For these new laptops, the manufacturer is focusing on repairability and a longer lifecycle, aiming to position itself as a sustainable partner.
New processors are present across all devices, although the options vary by model. Lenovo also highlights the optional 5MP webcam available for all models, which reportedly supports computer vision. Notably, details regarding memory configurations remain scarce.

ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 and T16 Gen 5
The ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 and T16 Gen 5 form the core of the refreshed T family. Both models are equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with Intel vPro. They can also be configured with AMD Ryzen AI Pro 40 processors.
Lenovo has slightly adjusted the design of both models. The bezels have become narrower compared to the previous generation. The T14 Gen 7 supports a TDP of up to 30W and LPCAMM2 memory on Intel models.

A key focus is repairability. Both models score 10 out of 10 on the iFixit repairability index. In practice, this means IT teams can more easily replace components such as batteries and USB-C ports. This approach typically extends the lifespan of the devices.
ThinkPad T14s Gen 7
The ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 is the lightest model in the T Series to date. Weighing approximately 1.1 kg, the device is ideal for professionals on the move.
Lenovo achieves this relatively low weight in part by incorporating a high-density 58Wh battery. Like the ThinkPad T14 and T16, the T14s Gen 7 scores high on repairability, with a 9 out of 10 rating from iFixit.

The T14s Gen 7 is also available with various processor options. For this device, Lenovo is offering its entire CPU catalog. In addition to Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with Intel vPro and AMD Ryzen AI Pro 400 chips, the manufacturer also offers variants with the ARM-based Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite and X2 Plus.
ThinkPad T14 and T14s 2-in-1
For those seeking flexibility in their professional lives, there is the ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1. This laptop builds on the T14s mentioned above but features a screen that can be fully folded back. This means a tent presentation mode is available, and the device can also be used as a bulky tablet. At 1.34 kg, it is slightly heavier, though still lighter than its predecessor.

The device is only available with Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 processors. AMD and Qualcomm options are not available for this flexible configuration.
