Microsoft is launching a new ‘Frontier Suite’ that bundles Microsoft 365 E5, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Agent 365 into a single subscription for $99 per month.
In a blog post, Microsoft announced a new 365 subscription, officially named Microsoft 365 E7: The Frontier Suite. The subscription combines the Microsoft 365 bundle with the Agent 365 platform, topped off with deep Copilot integration. This new suite is designed to help companies implement AI in a secure and scalable way, according to Microsoft.
Third wave
The new Frontier Suite package will be powered by Work IQ and integrated with the apps and security stack that customers already use. The suite also includes Microsoft Entra Suite and advanced Defender, Intune, and Purview security capabilities. Work IQ lays the foundation for what Microsoft describes as the ‘third wave’ of Copilot.
Microsoft Copilot will better understand how users work, who they work with, and the content they collaborate on. This makes Copilot faster, more accurate, and more confidential. Microsoft also promises a better chat experience and model choice between OpenAI and Anthropic, as the new Copilot Cowork illustrates. This marks the end of the exclusivity between OpenAI and Copilot.
More affordable menu
The E7 Frontier subscription is priced at €99 per user per month. While that sounds expensive, Microsoft claims that ordering the ‘menu’ is cheaper than purchasing all individual components ‘à la carte’. This makes it a simpler and more cost-effective way to implement enterprise AI at scale.
The Agent 365 platform, a dashboard where IT administrators can monitor AI agents, will also be available individually starting May 1. The price is $15 per month. Prices in euros have not yet been communicated by Microsoft.
