Users without a Google account now also get access to the web version of Gemini.

Last month, OpenAI made its SearchGPT widely accessible without sign-up requirements. Now, Google seems to be following the same pattern with Gemini. From now on, you can chat with Gemini via the browser version without logging into your Google account, as noted by 9to5Google. Unfortunately, logging in without an account means less access to advanced AI features. In the Gemini app on Android and iOS, you still need to log in with your Google account.

Limited Capabilities

The fact that you no longer need to log in via the browser version of Gemini to access the chatbot comes with some drawbacks. Without logging in, you won’t have access to some advanced AI features. Access is then limited to only the Gemini 2.0 Flash model. If you want to use the latest Gemini models, signing in is required.
