Chrome for Android now gets a built-in PDF viewer. Thanks to this functionality, you no longer need to leave the browser when opening a PDF file.
It is now finally possible to open PDF files in the Android version of Chrome. This has been an option for years via the desktop version of Chrome, but the mobile variant was lagging behind until today. Previously, you had to use external applications, including Google Drive, resulting in having to leave the browser. This new functionality currently works for Android 15, as noted by Android Authority.

For this, you had to use a third-party application such as Google Drive, which meant you had to leave the web browser each time. This now seems to be changing.
