Barracuda launches a new AI platform to simplify and strengthen cybersecurity for MSPs.
Barracuda introduces BarracudaONE, a central platform that employs AI to simplify and strengthen cybersecurity activities. A global study shows that using too many separate security tools makes organizations more vulnerable and puts pressure on IT teams.
Centralization as an Answer to Fragmented Security
BarracudaONE combines various Barracuda security solutions in one central dashboard. The platform is aimed at managed service providers (MSPs), channel partners, and end users. The goal is to make cybersecurity management less complex while increasing resilience against digital threats.
The software uses artificial intelligence for threat detection, automated response, and reporting. The AI capabilities are integrated into all components of the platform. According to Barracuda, this offers a clear way to detect and address security incidents. The central interface should also reduce the administrative burden, allowing IT teams to work more efficiently.
Research Emphasizes Need for Consolidation
Along with the launch of BarracudaONE, the company published the results of an international study by Vanson Bourne. The survey of 2,000 IT and security decision-makers shows that 80 percent struggle with managing multiple separate security tools. In the Benelux, 62 percent indicate that their organization uses too many tools, while 45 percent state that these solutions do not integrate well with each other.
This lack of integration leads to more work, higher costs, and reduced effectiveness in detecting and mitigating threats. Only 32 percent of respondents say they are fully confident in the configuration of their security tools. According to Barracuda, this underscores the need for a single integrated platform like BarracudaONE.
Availability
BarracudaONE is available at no additional cost to existing customers of Barracuda Email Protection, Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, and Data Inspector. The platform also allows integration with other vendors. For those seeking additional support, there is Barracuda Managed XDR, a 24/7 detection and response service through Barracuda’s own Security Operations Center.
