At CES 2026, AMD launched an AI development platform called Ryzen AI Halo.
In addition to the Ryzen AI 400 chips, AMD is also presenting a new AI development platform at CES 2026 that is intended to run large AI models locally without having to work in the cloud.
Development platform for demanding AI models
Ryzen AI Halo is not a consumer PC, but a platform for developers. The system is based on the Ryzen AI Max+ processor and has 128 GB of integrated memory, which, according to AMD, makes it possible to run AI models with up to 200 billion parameters locally. This makes the platform interesting for users who work with large language models and other demanding AI applications.
Multiple operating systems and open tooling
According to AMD CEO Lisa Su, the device supports multiple operating systems and is not limited to Windows. Developers can get started with open-source tools and hundreds of AI models, supported by the latest version of AMD ROCm, AMD’s software platform for AI and HPC development.
Ryzen AI Halo is expected to appear in the second quarter of this year, AMD writes in the announcement.
