LogMeIn will henceforth go by the name GoTo. Along with the name change, GoTo is launching Resolve, a cloud-based IT support software.
LogMeIn was looking for a new name and, to do so, clearly dove within its own product range. Indeed, the new name GoTo clearly refers to the company’s communications platform, GoTo Meeting.
GoTo is simultaneously launching a new software product called GoTo Resolve. That is a platform that centralizes IT support in a company. The platform allows employees to get IT support anywhere and makes the work for the IT team more manageable. The software product is part of GoTo Connect, which was first named Jive.
Keep moving
LastPass is another company in GoTo’s portfolio and in turn focuses on the security branch. LastPass, in fact, is a password manager and has both a browser extension and application. Another well-known password manager is 1Password.
The password manager LastPass is currently still part of GoTo, but that is about to change. Indeed, in December of 2021, it was revealed that LastPass will become an independent company. So LastPass will move again sometime this year.
Redundant names
GoTo additionally owns a few small companies. GoToMyPC and LogMeIn Pro are examples of these redundancies, but at the same time perfectly demonstrate what GoTo used to be known for. Indeed, LogMeIn, now GoTo, was a prominent player in the field of remote computer control.
