Belgian customers of LCL now get direct and scalable access to more than 1,000 data centers and cloud platforms worldwide via Megaport.
Data center provider LCL has started a collaboration with Australian company Megaport. The Megaport platform offers LCL customers access to an international network of data centers, cloud providers, and network operators. Through the platform, they can connect to other environments or adjust bandwidth with just a few clicks.
Flexibility and Speed
Thanks to this collaboration, companies that alternately need more or less capacity can switch more efficiently between peak and off-peak moments. For sectors such as media, where temporarily high bandwidth is required, this enables flexible usage. Customers only pay for what they actually use.

“Traditional carriers provide a solid foundation for continuous bandwidth, although activating their connections can take weeks or even months. With its on-demand connectivity, Megaport complements these carrier services and makes it possible to activate connections in just a few clicks,” says Laurens van Reijen, CEO of LCL.
SCION Protocol
Additionally, Megaport offers support for the Swiss SCION protocol. This allows customers to set up private networks for secure data communication. This technology is primarily aimed at sectors that process sensitive data, such as the financial world or media companies.
This new collaboration should offer LCL customers more control over their digital environment. At the same time, Megaport expands its presence in Belgium in this way.
