Teamleader acquires Dexxter and launches Teamleader One

Teamleader acquires accounting app Dexxter and launches Teamleader One: a software package aimed at the self-employed. With this, the software provider expands its offering to startups and small businesses.

The accounting app Dexxter, founded in 2021 by three former student entrepreneurs, will become part of the Teamleader ecosystem from now on. Dexxter offers self-employed and sole proprietors a solution to manage their accounts themselves. The platform has a growing customer base of more than 7,000 users. The Dexxter team continues to operate from Mechelen, under the leadership of the founders.

With the acquisition, Teamleader, itself part of Visma, aims to address the need of small business owners for accessible accounting tools. “Thanks to Teamleader’s expertise, we can accelerate Dexxter’s growth,” said Stan De Pauw, co-founder of Dexxter. CEO of Teamleader, Jeroen De Wit, emphasizes the need for better tools for the self-employed and sees in Dexxter an ideal complement to Teamleader’s offering.

Teamleader One

In addition to the acquisition, Teamleader is introducing the new software package Teamleader One. This package, developed for startups, freelancers and the self-employed, offers automated invoicing and cash flow tools. In doing so, it meets the challenges of smaller business owners, such as finding an accountant and the upcoming requirement for electronic invoicing starting in 2026.

Teamleader One incorporates functionality from the existing Teamleader Focus and Orbit products, which were previously aimed at SMEs. According to De Wit, the new package offers self-employed people insight into their finances and helps them digitize and automate their invoicing process.

The combination of the Dexxter acquisition and the launch of Teamleader One demonstrates Teamleader’s ambition to support self-employed individuals and small businesses in their digital transformation.
