Easily and quickly share files between your Android and MacOS devices with AirDriod.
There are several ways to share files between your mobile device and your PC. For Android, for example, there is Quick Share, and Apple users enjoy the convenience of Airdrop. Now what if you have an Android phone and MacOS device? That’s why AirDroid was created.
We already shared a how-to on how to send files from your Windows PC to your Android device. Find out how to do this easily with an Android and MacOS device in the step-by-step guide below.
-
Step 1: download AirDroid
To get started with AirDroid, you must first download the application on both devices. AirDroid is easily downloaded from the Google Play Store on your Android phone. For your MacOS device, you can find the application through the AirDroid download page. The application is not in the Apple App Store. To complete the installation on your macOS, you need to move the app to the folder Applications.

Step 2: create an account
The application is now installed on your Android and MacOS devices. When you open AirDroid, a login screen will appear. If you don’t already have an account, click Sign up to create one. You can do this in both the application on your phone and PC. You will then be sent to AirDroid’s login page where you can enter your information. Go through the process and activate your account.
